Research

For Muscle Boys, Erick Alvarez personally interviewed and surveyed hundreds of muscle boys, poz jocks, athletes, circuit boys, muscle bears, and muscle daddies throughout the United States.

Alvarez also includes exclusive interviews with experts in many of the fields Muscle Boys discusses, including art, GLBT history, media, medicine, photography, pornography, psychiatry, and more.

In addition, Alvarez presents in Muscle Boys the results of an online study of nearly 6,000 gay and bisexual men from around the globe. This survey was conducted via two of today's most popular and successful muscle-bound Web sites: BigMuscle.com and BigMuscleBear.com. The survey respondents hail from North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East, and South America - telling the stories of gym-bound gay and bisexual men from 65 countries around the world.

Charts and graphs are coming soon. In the meantime, please take a look at some of the findings presented and discussed in Muscle Boys...
